My Story Behind This Workshop

I built my first media business with everything I had — my vision, my voice, my whole self. And then I learned the hardest lesson a creative can learn: following the wrong blueprint with the wrong people can cost you everything.

I found myself over $100,000 in debt. I had to remortgage my home. I closed down the business I had poured my life into. I stood at the kind of crossroads that breaks people — and I had to make a choice about who I would become next.

I rebuilt. From the ground up. With clarity I didn't have before — about money, about worth, about the psychological weight we carry as creatives from communities that were never taught to claim abundance.

Today I am a homeowner again. I run two thriving businesses (Shakti Empowerment & Counselling Inc. AND Sumu Sathi Media). I have acted in six films with film festival credits, and I am co-producing my short film — centering marginalized voices through every platform I build.

Will I be receiving psychotherapy in this masterclass?

No — and it is important to understand the distinction.

A therapeutic relationship is a separate, individual, and confidential clinical arrangement. That is not what this masterclass is.

What you will receive is psychoeducation — which means you will learn how psychology, neuroscience, and evidence-based therapeutic frameworks apply to your relationship with money, wealth, and visibility. You will leave understanding the why behind your patterns, with tools you can apply independently to begin shifting them.

This is a foundational learning experience. You receive the knowledge and the framework — and you choose what to do with it. For those who want to go deeper into individual therapeutic work after the masterclass, that pathway is available through Shakti Empowerment & Counselling.

How is this different from a regular business or mindset coaching program?

This masterclass is facilitated by a registered psychotherapist — not a life coach or business strategist.

Most mindset programs teach you to think differently. This masterclass goes deeper — into the nervous system, the family system, and the inherited stories that have been running your business decisions below the level of conscious thought. We use evidence-based psychotherapeutic frameworks — ACT, CBT, and Internal Family Systems — to do work that mindset coaching alone cannot reach.

What do I need to prepare before the masterclass?

Once you register you will receive your Workshop Companion Workbook — a guided pre-work document with three short reflection prompts to complete before April 23. These open you up before you even log on so that when we begin, you are already in the work.

Beyond that — bring a pen, your workbook printed if possible, and a willingness to be honest. That is all you need.
